Help with controls, sound, and your next flight in Emberwing: Bat Escape.

How to play

  1. Hold your iPhone sideways and tap Enter the cave.
  2. Tap to flap. Double-tap to dodge backward.
  3. Avoid the rocks, spikes, lava, and erupting lava balls.
  4. Use the pause button to take a break. Tap Try again after a flight ends.

Power up your flight

Every power-up is a green drop. Your bat's eye colour shows which boost you have:

The metres counter climbs 2, 4, or 8 times as fast while that boost is active. This applies to new metres you earn, not your existing score.

Keep the boost going

Your first drop starts a 30-second timer. Collect another drop while any time remains to move to the next eye colour and reset the timer to 30 seconds.

For example: blue eyes with 10 seconds left + another green drop = green eyes, 4× scoring, and a fresh 30 seconds. It still works with just 1 second left.

At red eyes, another green drop keeps your 8× score and resets the timer to 30 seconds again. The time resets; it does not add another 30 seconds to what is left.

Watch the bar at the bottom of the game for time remaining. When it runs out, your eyes and scoring return to normal (1×). Your earned score stays. The next drop starts again at blue eyes and 2×.

Quick answers

I can’t hear the game.

Tap the speaker button to turn sound on and check your iPhone’s media volume and audio output. Sound starts when you begin a flight. The game remembers your mute choice. If an older test build is silent, also try turning Silent Mode off.

Can I play offline?

Yes. The installed iPhone game works offline and does not require an account.

Where is my best score saved?

Your personal best and sound preference are stored on this device. They are not synced by Emberwing across devices. Deleting the app removes its local data; an iOS backup may restore data if you restore that backup.

Why did the game pause?

The game pauses when you leave it or your iPhone interrupts play. Return to the game and tap Resume.
